SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS & WARNINGS

Failure to follow the following warnings and instructions may result in damage to your Smokin’ Grill/Smoker, property, serious bodily injury or death.

The Smokin’ Keg Grill is intended for OUTDOOR USE ONLY! Never burn charcoal indoors, or in any enclosed spaces such as tents, trailers, vehicles, campers, etc. or any semi-enclosed spaces such as garages, breezeways, or balconies. Such use poses a potential risk of fire, smoke inhalation, exposure to toxic fumes, or asphyxiation.

ALWAYS use in a well-ventilated area. Burning charcoal indoors is extremely dangerous as. It releases Carbon monoxide, an odorless gas that can cause serious injury or death.

NEVER use without the bottom charcoal/rock grates in place! Placing hot coals directly onto the bottom of the aluminum cast can result in fire causing serious injury or death as well as damage to property. 

Do not use The Smokin’ Keg Grill until it is properly assembled, and all parts are in place. It is the responsibility of the consumer to exercise reasonable care when using your Smokin’ Keg Grill. 

Never leave your grill unattended.

The capsule of the Smokin’ Keg Grill is made of an aluminum alloy which has a melting point of 1080 degrees Fahrenheit. For safety reasons do not exceed 800 degrees Fahrenheit while using. 

Do not use blow torches, excessive amounts of lighter fluid or other accelerants like gasoline or alcohol to start your grill. And if lighter fluid is used, be sure none has spilled in or around the grilling area before lighting. 

The Smokin’ Keg Grill Co. highly recommends using a charcoal chimney to start your grill.

Always use BBQ mitts or leather gloves while cooking, the outer surfaces of the Smokin’ Keg Grill can become extremely hot. Always exercise extreme caution while cooking and adjusting airflow, stirring or adding charcoal, etc.  

Always place the grill/smoker away from siding, deck railing, and out from under eaves and overhanging branches. A minimum of ten feet is recommended from all exterior walls. 

Place the grill a safe distance from any yard games or social activities, play areas, and foot traffic.

Keep Children and pets away from the grill area. Establish a “3-foot Safe Zone” around the grilling area.

Not Intended for Commercial Use.

Make sure that your grill is on a solid level surface prior to and while in use. 

Do not use within ten feet of any combustible material. Combustible material may include, but are not limited to wood, paper, leaves, grass, plastic, decks, patios, porches, railings, tailgate liners, etc. 

Never use on grass.

Do not move the grill until it has cooled down. Do not attempt to handle or move a hot grill. To cool the grill/smoker, simply close all the vents and let it set for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Cooling times may vary.

Do not wear loose or flammable clothing while operating the grill/smoker.

Do not remove ashes or attempt to clean the grill until after charcoal has burned out and the grill/smoker has cooled off. To cool the grill, simply close all the vents and allow to sit for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Cooling times may vary. Never dump hot coals or ashes until fully extinguished. Never dump hot coals or ashes where they may be stepped on or create a fire hazard.
