How To Use

To use with Indirect Heat

Method One:

Place the bottom grate (the long one) into the bottom of the grill.

Open one bottom vent and close one bottom vent.

Prepare charcoals. (Highly recommend using a "Chimney" type charcoal starter.)

Pour hot coals onto the bottom grate and pile the coals onto one side directly over the open vent.

Properly place top cooking grates.

Place food onto the cooking grate that is located directly above the closed vent. (On the opposite side of the coals.)

Close the lid.

Close top vent directly above the coals.

Open top vent directly above the food.

Cook to your desired temperature.

When finished, close all vents and allow coals to cool before moving.

Method Two:

Place the bottom grate (the long one) into the bottom of the grill.

Open or crack both bottom vents.

Prepare charcoals. (Highly recommend using a "Chimney" type charcoal starter.)

Pour the hot coals evenly onto the bottom charcoal grate. Next, pile the coals onto each side of the grill (over the top of the open vents) allowing a space in the middle

Properly place top cooking grates.

Place the food in the middle of cooking grates.

Close the lid.

Crack or open both top vents.

Cook to your desired temperature.

When finished, close all vents and allow coals to cool before moving.

To use with Direct Heat:

Place the bottom grate (the long one) into the bottom of the grill.

Open both bottom vents.

Prepare charcoals. (Highly recommend using a "Chimney" type charcoal starter.)

Pour hot coals onto the bottom grate and spread the coals evenly across the grill.

Properly place top cooking grates.

Close the lid.

Place food onto the cooking grates.

Open or crack both of the top vents.

Cook to your desired temperature.

When finished, close all vents and allow coals to cool before moving.
